The European Academy of Optometry and Optics congress, held from May 15–17, 2026 in Riga, Latvia, served as a gathering point for optometrists, researchers, clinicians, educators, and industry innovators from around the world. For Hundred Vision, this year’s event was particularly significant. Beyond simply reconnecting with the international optometric community, it marked a key achievement in our ongoing mission to support evidence-informed, accessible, and engaging vision training.

Sharing Practical Knowledge Through Workshops and Lectures
One of the key highlights of EAOO 2026 was the opportunity to host and contribute to educational sessions focused on clinical assessment, amblyopia treatment, eye teaming, eye tracking, and dichoptic principles.

Eye Tracking & Teaming Assessment: From Clinical Skills to Patient Insights
The session explored how clinical assessment of eye movements, teaming, and functional vision skills can be translated into meaningful patient insights. The workshop encouraged discussion around practical strategies that help clinicians make more informed decisions in everyday practice, while also highlighting the importance of connecting clinical findings with patient-centered care.

Efficiency of Dichoptic Principles: Overview of Clinical Trials
This session focused on PEDIG amblyopia treatment studies, current evidence related to dichoptic principles, and the latest Eye Hero publication on the efficiency of dichoptic-based approaches. The lecture offered an overview of how dichoptic methods are being studied and applied in modern vision therapy, with a focus on their relevance for amblyopia treatment and binocular vision training.
Presenting Eye Hero to the Optometric World
Throughout the congress, Hundred Vision also had the opportunity to present its solutions to professionals from around the world, including a poster presentation on Eye Hero and the growing role of dichoptic principles in modern binocular vision training.
Eye Hero continues to represent Hundred Vision’s commitment to combining clinical relevance with engaging digital experiences. By supporting binocular vision training through interactive, child-friendly, and technology-based tools, Eye Hero aims to help clinicians and families approach therapy in a way that is both structured and motivating.

A Personal Milestone for Hundred Vision’s CEO
This year’s congress also marked an important personal achievement for Matic Vogric, who became a Fellow of the European Academy of Optometry and Optics.
This recognition reflects not only his continued professional development, but also the support, mentorship, and collaboration of the wider optometric community.
